The Two Wranglers Story

Born and raised in Northern California, I got my first Jeep Wrangler in high school honing my skills off-roading on the Rubicon Trail with 31 inch tires. I've upgraded to a 392 on 40's, a completely different experience-but just as thrilling.

It all began in 2021...

It had been a few years since Jason had owned a Wrangler. With a heavy heart he had sold his latest Jeep, a CJ5, due to not having the time to enjoy off roading. Fast forward to 2021, and suddenly we all found ourselves with plenty of time on our hands. I told Jason, "Go get a Jeep."

Despite the auto shortages, we discovered a sting grey 3.6 JLUR in Oregon. We took a flight up, purchased it, and as we drove it home, I (Stephanie) asked to take the wheel. I loved it and decided I wanted my own Jeep Wrangler. We ordered one right away, and a few months later, I was proud to own my very own JULR. Thus began our journey of:

Two Wranglers

After modifying our Jeeps, Jason taught me the ropes of off roading, and we've never looked back—it's been an incredible ride, literally.

Jason is advanced in off roading skills, while I'm just moving into the intermediate level. He has had Jeeps his whole life, while I'm just getting started. He primarily drives his 392, while I often take my 3.6. Despite our differences, we thought it would make for great content. We wanted to showcase how each Jeep performs and how we each handle the trails in our videos. Our YouTube channel, Two Wranglers, tells the story of a beginner versus an advanced driver, a V8 versus a V6, and let’s not forget...

a husband versus wife!

However, it’s all in the name of fun.

Since 2021, there have been a few changes: Jason sold his 3.6 JLUR to purchase his firecracker red 392 (Hot Rod). I loved driving Jason's 392 so much that I got my own (Hericon). However, I chose to keep my original 3.6, as I'm incredibly attached to my first Jeep. We're hoping to turn it into a real crawler someday. We also purchased a Gladiator and converted it into an overlanding vehicle, but that soon became unnecessary when we picked up a used Patriot Camper. Although we refer to ourselves as "Two Wranglers," we now have four Jeeps. We feel that the more, the merrier—it’s a Jeep thing.

After living in SoCal for the last 15 years, where I cut my off-roading teeth on trails like Gold Mountain and John Bull, we recently moved to Northern California, smack in the middle of Gold Country and near the iconic trial-the Rubicon.
